Sports and Leisure

  • Hiking, camping in the wild and bicycle touring are among my favorite activities.
  • Capoeira (Regional and Angola styles) – Capoeira is a martial art as well as a music genre originating from the northeastern state of Bahia, Brazil. I've studied it since 1992 and did a one-month intensive seminar in Porto Seguro in 1994. I am proud to have taught it to beginners and to have firmly set its roots in my Quebec City hometown (1996-1999).

Oy Vey! Good job for a student willing to wake up at 5 A.M. and leave home when it's dark and the temperature is 20 below! I "did time" rolling the dough to make the world-famous Montreal-style bagels, baked in a wood-fired oven. I also worked as a waiter and served cappucinos and sandwiches in the café section. Released on parole for good behaviour.
